Saturday Edit

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Saturday Edit LLC (“Saturday,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use Saturday Edit mobile app, website, waitlist, beta program, or related services (collectively, the “Service”).

Privacy is part of how we build Saturday. We aim to collect only the information reasonably needed to operate the Service, provide the features you choose to use, understand whether the product is working, protect the Service, and improve the quality of local recommendations.

1. Who we are

Saturday Edit is a consumer-facing local discovery and editorial service operated by Saturday Edit LLC, a New York limited liability company. The current app does not require a named user account.

Questions about this Privacy Policy or privacy requests may be sent to hello@saturdayedit.app.

2. Privacy at a glance

The current app does not require you to create a named account.

The current app does not request access to your device’s precise GPS location.

We do not intentionally collect your contacts, microphone recordings, payment-card information, or advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking through the current app.

Your optional profile photo is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to Saturday’s product-reporting service.

Automatic product-usage reporting is optional and remains off until you choose Share App Usage. You can turn it off later through the in-app privacy control.

Product-usage reporting uses a pseudonymous installation identifier rather than a named account. It can link records from the same installation and should not be treated as inherently anonymous.

We do not sell personal information or use the current app to track you across other companies’ apps or websites for targeted advertising.

The current shipping app does not send user-level app data to a third-party generative-AI provider.

3. Information you choose to provide

Depending on how you use the Service, you may choose to provide or select information such as:

Please do not include sensitive personal information in free-text feedback, issue reports, forms, or emails unless it is reasonably necessary to explain a legitimate support or safety concern. In particular, avoid submitting sensitive information about children or other people who have not chosen to share it with us.

4. Optional product-usage reporting

Automatic product-usage reporting is optional. Until you choose Share App Usage, automatic reporting remains off. Choosing Not Now does not limit access to the core Service. You can later enable or disable automatic usage sharing through the in-app privacy control.

If you choose to share app usage, limited automatic reporting may include:

The installation identifier is not your name, email address, Apple advertising identifier, or named account ID. It can link multiple records from the same installation and is therefore pseudonymous. Reinstalling the app will normally create a new identifier, although device backup or restore behavior may affect locally stored state.

You may turn off automatic product-usage reporting at any time using the in-app privacy control. Turning it off stops future automatic sharing and invalidates pending automatic reporting work where technically possible. It does not recall or delete information that was already transmitted. Re-enabling sharing applies only to future eligible activity; Saturday does not intentionally replay activity that was suppressed while sharing was off.

5. Feedback and issue reports

Your choice about automatic product-usage reporting does not prevent you from intentionally submitting listing feedback or an issue report. Before you submit an issue report, the app tells you that the report will be sent to Saturday.

An explicit submission may include what you select or enter, relevant listing context, app/build information, and the pseudonymous installation identifier used to support submission handling and duplicate prevention. The production submission flow does not add your selected home base, selected interests, saved-history, browsing/search history, name, email address, or profile photo unless you choose to include identifying information in free text.

Submitting explicit feedback or an issue report does not enable automatic product-usage reporting or change your usage-sharing preference. Free-text information may identify you if you choose to include identifying details.

6. Information stored on your device

Certain information is kept locally on your device so the app can remember your choices and work consistently. Depending on the features you use, this may include interests and preferences, selected home base, saved listings, recently viewed or recently downloaded feed information, saved-reminder settings, an optional profile photo, and limited application-state information.

Deleting the app generally removes information stored in the app’s local storage. Your device, operating system, or backup services may maintain separate backups or records that are controlled by you or the relevant platform provider.

7. Photos

You may use Apple’s photo picker to select an optional profile photo. The selected profile photo is stored locally for display within Saturday and is not uploaded to Saturday’s product-reporting service. You can replace or remove the photo through the app. Removing it clears Saturday’s persisted local profile-photo data, subject to separate device or platform backup behavior.

8. Notifications and reminders

Saturday may ask for permission to send notifications when you choose to use reminders or other notification-based features. Notification permission is optional and can be changed through your device settings. Reminder information is used to schedule and deliver the reminders you request. We do not require notification permission merely to access the core Service.

9. Home base and location information

Saturday does not currently request access to your device’s precise GPS location. You may choose a town or area as your home base. We use that selection to improve local relevance and, if you consent to product-usage reporting, it may be included with that reporting.

The app also uses addresses and coordinates associated with listings, venues, or places to organize recommendations, support maps, and help users navigate. Those coordinates describe the listing or venue, not the precise location of your device.

If you choose to open directions, you may leave Saturday and use Apple Maps, Google Maps, or another external navigation service. The external service’s privacy practices apply to your activity there.

10. Images, media, and network requests

Listing images and other media may be delivered in different ways. Saturday-created assets, including illustrative imagery, may be hosted by or for Saturday through content-delivery providers. Other listing media may be loaded directly from a venue, organizer, publisher, media host, or other third-party server.

When your device retrieves an asset from a third-party host, that host receives the network request and may receive ordinary technical information associated with it, such as an IP address, request time, requested URL, and device or request metadata. Saturday does not add the product-reporting installation identifier to ordinary third-party image requests.

Saturday-controlled Cloudinary assets used in the current product are assets created for Saturday. Hosting location alone should not be treated as proof that a third-party-hosted image is owned by Saturday.

11. Website, waitlist, beta access, and forms

The Saturday website does not currently use behavioral analytics, advertising pixels, or cross-site tracking technologies such as advertising retargeting tools. We may still receive ordinary hosting, security, and server logs that are generated as part of operating the website.

Our website or communications may direct you to a third-party form, email provider, social platform, app store, or other external service. Information you intentionally submit through those services may be handled both by Saturday and by the provider under the provider’s own privacy terms.

If you provide an email address to join a waitlist or participate in beta testing, we use it for communications reasonably related to that request or beta relationship, such as access instructions, testing requests, support, material beta changes, and responses you request. We do not currently use beta or waitlist email addresses for unrelated promotional marketing.

12. AI-assisted tools

Saturday may use generative AI or other automated tools in internal editorial, creative, operational, or quality-assurance workflows. For example, such tools may assist with drafting, organizing public-source information, analyzing aggregated or deidentified operational statistics, or producing illustrative editorial imagery.

The current shipping app does not contain a generative-AI client, use a generative-AI service to make automated decisions about individual users, or intentionally send installation identifiers, home base, interests, saves, profile photos, feedback, issue-report text, beta/contact information, or other user-level app data to a third-party generative-AI provider.

Saturday may analyze aggregated or deidentified statistics - for example, counts of installations selecting a particular home base or interest - to understand content coverage and improve the Service. If we later introduce user-level AI processing, we will review the practice and update disclosures and permissions before doing so where required.

13. How we use information

We use information for purposes reasonably related to operating and improving the Service, including to:

14. How information may be shared

Service providers. We use providers for functions such as app and web hosting, content delivery, product reporting, forms, email, maps/platform services, and infrastructure. When a provider processes user data for Saturday, we require protections consistent with this Policy, the provider’s role, and applicable law, and we limit the data we provide to what is reasonably needed for the service.

External destinations. Listings may link to organizer websites, ticketing pages, reservation services, map services, social platforms, or other third-party destinations. Once you choose to use an external service, that service’s terms and privacy practices apply to information it receives.

Legal, security, and safety reasons. We may preserve, use, or disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with law or valid legal process; protect the rights, safety, or security of Saturday, our users, or others; investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or misuse; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Business changes. If Saturday Edit LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar business transaction, information may be reviewed, transferred, or retained as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality or security protections.

15. Sale, advertising, and tracking

We do not sell personal information. We do not use the current app to build named advertising profiles or to track your activity across other companies’ apps or websites for targeted advertising. We do not currently use advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking.

If Saturday later introduces advertising, sponsorship, retargeting, or other practices that materially change these statements, we will review applicable consent, disclosure, and platform requirements before enabling those practices and update this Policy where required.

16. Retention and deletion

Event-level optional product-usage reporting is retained for up to 12 months from the server-generated date Saturday receives the event. This includes pseudonymous preference and saved-activity events.

Listing feedback and issue-report events, including user-entered report details, are also retained for up to 12 months from the server-generated date Saturday receives the submission, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for a legal hold, security incident, fraud investigation, dispute, or other legal obligation.

After the applicable 12-month period, event-level reporting records are deleted through Saturday’s retention process. Aggregate or deidentified statistics that no longer contain the installation identifier, free-text submissions, or other event-level pseudonymous data may be retained for longer to understand product and content trends.

Local app data generally remains on your device until you change or remove it, reset the relevant feature, or delete the app, subject to device and backup behavior.

Support communications, beta/waitlist records, partnership inquiries, and similar business records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to handle the request or relationship and for legitimate recordkeeping, fraud-prevention, security, or legal purposes.

Deleting the app does not itself delete reporting records already received by Saturday or records held by third-party providers. Because Saturday does not maintain a named account that maps your name or email address to product-reporting rows, we may not be able to locate a particular pseudonymous reporting record based only on your name or email address.

17. Your choices and privacy requests

Depending on the feature, you can update your home base and interests, save or unsave listings, choose whether to submit feedback, enable or disable reminders and notifications, replace or remove your local profile photo, choose whether to open external services, and enable or disable optional automatic product-usage reporting through the in-app privacy control.

You may contact us at hello@saturdayedit.app to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information that we can reasonably identify, verify, and control. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional rights. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to locate the relevant record and protect against fraudulent access or deletion requests.

Some installation-level product reporting is not ordinarily attributable by Saturday to a named person. We may therefore be unable to locate a particular reporting record solely from a requester’s name or email address. We may retain a minimal record of a completed privacy request where reasonably necessary to demonstrate compliance or honor a future opt-out.

18. Children and minors

Saturday is a general-audience local discovery service oriented primarily toward adults and local planning. It is not primarily directed to children under 13. Teenagers may use the Service, subject to applicable law and any age restrictions imposed by a venue, organizer, product, or activity.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 in a manner that requires parental consent without obtaining the required consent or otherwise complying with applicable law. If we obtain actual knowledge that personal information from a minor is being handled in a way that is not permitted, we will take reasonable steps required by applicable law.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to Saturday in a way that should not have occurred, contact hello@saturdayedit.app.

19. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and operational measures designed to protect the information we handle against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No system, network, transmission, or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security incident occurs, we will evaluate and provide notices as required by applicable law.

20. International users

Saturday is currently designed primarily for users in the United States, beginning with New York. If you use the Service from another country or region, information may be processed in the United States or in other locations where our service providers operate. Those locations may have different data-protection laws from your home jurisdiction.

21. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Saturday evolves, vendors or practices change, or legal requirements develop. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects how we handle information or requires new consent, we will provide additional notice or obtain permission where appropriate or required.
